Lando Calrissian enthusiastically begins to tell the adventure of how he gained the ownership of Cloud City:
Lando revealed the following: "I was down on my luck and had about 200 thousand credits remaining to my name. I entered a chance game called Imperial Domination hoping a win would save my life. It turns out I nearly lost it. I was up against a bounty hunter named Bossk. He was extremely arrogant and smelled horrible.
We had been wagering back and forth for a long time and I was down to my last bet. I told Bossk I had a hidden stack of Lenseris gem stones that were worth a fortune. I said I would add this to my gambling debt if he had something priceless to add to the final wager.
Bossk said the only property he had of worth was a run down floating city in the Bespin star system. He swore the Empire didn't know about it and that the right person could make a huge profit with it. I slyly told Bossk I would accept his offering. I proceeded to cheat like never before and I won that city.
I couldn't believe my luck. Bossk gave me the data codes to Cloud City and I went there immediately. Within a few short years, I had billions and billions of credits. Don't let anybody tell you that cheating doesn't matter and that it will get you in the end. I'm proof cheating is the only way to go."
Lando and the crowd laugh merrily. A few moments of absolute happiness in a galaxy of unrelenting danger. They have no idea the worst days of their lives are waiting for them in the future.
