Anakin says: "Greetings, my child. I'm your father Anakin. I'm a Jedi and am not allowed to have children or even a wife. Your existence jeopardizes my future with your mother, but we already love you and believe we can have an amazing life with each other.

I hope to present you to the Jedi Council in order so that you can be accepted by them for training. This may cause me to be expelled by the Jedi, but I'm willing to risk everything for the ones I love. All that I do is for you and your mother. The future holds much promise for us. I will see you soon."

This compassionate message from Anakin stuns Leia. In her mind, Anakin was a monster named Darth Vader, who killed billions of innocent people. Leia is shocked to see that her father was once a benevolent person, who served the Old Republic and Jedi Order. Leia begins to cry out of joy knowing that her father was redeemed in the final moments of his life.
