Padme says to Luke: "Luke, my son, I'm your mother Padme, the wife of Anakin Skywalker. I call out to you from beyond the Heavens. The forces of evil seek to resurrect your father by a means which is a harbinger of doom and they also seek to make a monster in your image to destroy civilization.

You will have to make a choice whether to face your destiny and destroy these duplicates of your father and yourself or hope that there is some other way to avert the disaster that awaits each of you. Know that I will be with you and will always watch over you. My love goes with you."

Luke understands the importance of this message and tells his counterparts in the Jedi Council that the Dark Jedi have conceived a horrible conspiracy that threatens the entire galaxy. They must prepare for war.
