Mr. Lucas, congratulations on your career, which is successful in all areas that can be measured. I've had the distinct privilege of reading the Indiana Jones 5 story summary at SS.com and must admit it is the most bewildering and fervent adventure Indiana Jones has yet experienced.
You continue to shock the fans with plot ideas that keep getting increasingly monumental. I wish I had your imagination to keep thinking up things that no one has even considered before. Yourself and SuperShadow make the perfect duo. If SuperShadow.com had been around at the time of the creation of the Star Wars classic trilogy, I can't begin to estimate how much the box office gross of each of those movies would have been infinitely increased. The classics might have made as much money as the Star Wars prequel trilogy if such were possible.
Thanks to you, we have Star Wars. Thanks to the overpowering genius of Shadow, we have direct contact with the person, who created both Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I'm amazed day after day each time I read SS.com. You are lucky to have Shadow in your life because none of us ordinary fans can ever meet Shadow.
You have been given fortune and glory above all expectations. All hail Mr. Lucas and especially Shadow. We will continue to envy both of you because we have nothing else in life. Claiming we're jealous doesn't come close. I want to be Shadow if just for an instant. To dwell with the divine is what we all desire in our deepest hearts. We covet everything about Shadow and yourself. I can't explain it more fully!
George Lucas: When I created Indiana Jones in the early 1970's, I didn't really have any concrete ideas of what he would actually be doing in the films. My friend, Philip Kauffman, suggested to me to make the Ark of the Covenant the central focus of the first Indiana Jones film. That's why Indy Jones searches for the Ark. It's not my idea, but it worked. I get credit for the Indiana Jones story ideas, but I have a lot of help in creating the basis for each Indiana Jones film.
Most of the fans, who send me comments about Indiana Jones, go on and on about how Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is too much to handle. The fans have watched it dozens of times and even now you can't understand the true nature of it. The influence of SuperShadow is the only reason why I created an Indiana Jones film based on the Russians and extraterrestrials. Many of you can't stop praising me for adding a remarkable science fiction edge to Indiana Jones.
Shadow and the concepts of his countless numbers of devotees made the Star Wars prequel trilogy excel greatly above the old Star Wars films. In hindsight, I'm tremendously embarrassed by the overly simplistic plots for the old films. We basically didn't know what we were doing back then as is evident by the shoddy quality of the old films when compared to the Star Wars prequels.
I keep telling the fans the same cliche, but Shadow is the best thing to ever happen to me. This doesn't include my children because they are the joy of my life, but on the film making side of my life Shadow is a gift I can cherish for eternity. The fact so many of you worship Shadow is understandable. Shadow is a person, who is unrivaled in stature. My life is superior since Shadow entered it so many years ago.
GL, as we grow up in life, we dream of owning a Lamborghini or two. Occasionally, we think about having enough money to date super models yet few of us achieve such dreams. I want to say I enjoy living vicariously through you. It is rewarding to see what you have to say here.
My question is about the live action Star Wars TV series. You've explained over and over again that the live action TV show won't be a copy or direct image of the 6 Star Wars movie episodes. What's the point in avoiding all the factors that made Star Wars a winner to begin with?
From what SS says, you have no other choice but to make up new Star Wars motion pictures because Lucasfilm would quickly be out of business without excessive profits continually pouring in. Are you trapped and now a slave to Star Wars? I hope you have a good day.
George Lucas: It's ironic what has happened since the theatrical release of American Graffiti. My first directing effort called THX-1138 was a financial failure. It temporarily shattered my confidence in my artistic vision. I was uncertain if I had the creative impulse to make popular films that audiences would pay to see. Of course as you all know, American Graffiti was dollar for dollar the most lucrative film of the 1970's. This includes films like Jaws and A New Hope.
After American Graffiti, I became more ambitious. I had the clout to make a mythological story based on what I wanted to see on film. Everybody thought Star Wars was a crazy idea. Nobody believed in it as a workable concept. I was warned constantly that Star Wars might end my film career. For some reason I can't really comprehend, I thought Star Wars would somehow find an audience if I was brave enough to make it happen.
Ancient mythological adventures have survived for thousands of years. In my logical judgment, I didn't understand why modern science fiction films weren't making money at the box office. I studied the types of science fiction films that Hollywood was creating in the late 1960's to the early 1970's. They didn't borrow enough from the traditional stories, which the earliest societies created.
To make an extremely long and boring story even more so, I decided to take the ideas of the past and update them with the newest film making techniques. I had to found I.L.M. to achieve the special effects for A New Hope because no film studio had the expertise to make the state of the art special effects I needed for Star Wars.
What I'm getting at is that I trust my instincts. Critics tell me I'm going to fail, but I don't care. I'm going to follow my vision no matter where it might take me. Most of the world rejected the new Star Wars The Clone Wars film. It doesn't matter because I'm doing what I want to do.
The live action Star Wars TV series is going to be what I want it to be. Many fan ideas will be integrated into the TV show, but the overall premise for the TV series will be based on what I want it to be. Nothing can change my mind. I'm very, very stubborn when it relates to Star Wars.
George, if you make first contact with extraterrestrials, what will you speak to them about? You should be our ambassador to the stars since you are the most important person I can think of. It is sensible that the creator of Star Wars would be the initial person to meet the alien beings. After all, the basis of Star Wars is an exotic foreign civilization far, far away?
George Lucas: Personally, I don't believe in alien entities and I'll tell you why this is so. If extraterrestrials were real and visiting Earth, then they would have already contacted me. I agree with you that I would be the only individual, who would have contact with them. It defies logic for some other person to have contact with extraterrestrials for no particular reason. I created Star Wars, which has become the most profitable science fiction franchise in the history of the entertainment industry.
I didn't intend for this to happen. I'll admit it all happened by accident. In fact back in early 1977, I was concerned that Star Wars was actually going to ruin my film directing and writing career. For whatever reasons, the audience loved Star Wars. I can't explain why it resonates with people. Perhaps, our world is extremely odd where people become interested in and fascinated by silliness. To this day, I can't understand why Star Wars is popular over thirty years after I made A New Hope.
In the end, we'll never see alien life forms simply because they don't exist. There's nothing tangible we can point to that proves they are substantive. Also, it's unlikely we have recovered extraterrestrial technology, which would boggle our minds, because if we had their advances in science we wouldn't still need fossil fuels and other primitive technologies. All the evidence suggests we are alone in the Universe. We will always be by ourselves with a destiny to eventually colonize the galaxy.

Majestic Emperor George, why is The Empire Strikes Back overly predictable and extremely lacking in creativity? It basically takes place in only three locations: Hoth, Dagobah and Cloud City. In comparison, we saw dozens and dozens of exotic worlds in the monumental Star Wars prequel trilogy. The most disconcerting moment of my life was seeing The Empire Strikes Back for the very first time in May 1980.
It featured only one major action sequence on Hoth. Nothing else except for the slow motion and incredibly boring light saber fight between novice Luke Skywalker and glacial moving Darth Vader. Calling this Star Wars film horrible is a delightful compliment. Thanks for creating the Star Wars prequels and finally giving the fans the Star Wars movies we really deserve. The prequels will get you an automatic slot in Heaven. Thanks so much for it all.
George Lucas: When I filmed the old films back in the late 1970's and early 1980's, we really didn't have the resources available to us that I now have. I had a limited amount of money and the special effects technology back then was extremely primitive. You can't really blame us for the feeble results of the old films because we did the best we could at the time. The Star Wars prequel trilogy are perfection above what can be envisioned by the fans. The synergy related to the prequels happens once in a generation if we're lucky.
It's not reasonable to expect the old films to be as great as the prequels. I directed each episode of the prequels while this is not true for the old films. The fans are upset that I didn't have enough motivation to direct each of the old films. It's a mistake I will never forgive myself for.
Enjoy the prequels and be thankful the good ol' days of no money and limited special effects are gone forever. This is the greatest time to have ever been alive. The future of Star Wars is at an all time high. Our best days are in the distant horizon.

George, you're the most awesome movie director ever. SS is even greater than that. SS is the most grand Star Wars expert in world history. My question relates to the Star Wars Episode 7 Choose Your Destiny of Fate story found at SS.com. When do you plan to make a Destiny of Fate version for Star Wars Episode 8 and 9? I hope you will continue to stun the planet with a level of genius this Earth has never experienced before. Thank the Heavens for George and SS.
George Lucas: I have no current desire to write an extensive script outline for Star Wars Episode 8 and 9. I tend to take Star Wars one film at a time. I have a basic plot summary for Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9 at SuperShadow.com, but I don't have detailed ideas for Star Wars Episode 8 and 9 yet.
It'll probably be Summer 2021 before I publish Star Wars Episode 8 Choose Your Destiny of Fate at SS.com. Just enjoy Star Wars Episode 7 and don't worry about the future, which we can't control anyway. I appreciate having a thoughtful fan such as yourself. I hope you will always follow what happens in the Star Wars galaxy.

Lucas, I have an idea for the Star Wars The Clone Wars TV series. What you think about Darth Maul appears in the TV series? When Maul shows up, it reveals how he survived the fight with Obi-Wan from The Phantom Menace. Maul could return with a mechanical body. Maul finds Darth Sidious and Sidious orders Maul to kill Obi-Wan.
But in reality, Darth Sidious knows that Maul don't have a chance against Obi-Wan so Darth Sidious sends Maul to be killed by Obi-Wan to get rid of Maul. Obi-Wan and Maul have a duel and Obi-Wan kills Maul easily. Count Dooku tells his master that Maul is dead and Sidious laughs and says: "Good. I thought I'd never get rid of him." What you think of this?
George Lucas: You're not going to see additional Sith Lords in the new Clone Wars TV show because Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus are the only active Sith at the time in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Asajj Ventress is a Dark Jedi and is not considered to be an authentic Sith.
I don't believe it would be an interesting idea to see Darth Maul prior to Star Wars Episode 7. Maul has many reasons to remain in seclusion until the next Star Wars film trilogy begins. I have an amazing role planned for Maul in Star Wars Episode 7. Thanks for sending in your idea to me. You have an impressive imagination.
Hi George! Is Qui-Gon Jinn coming back for the new Star Wars movie trilogy? It would be cool if Qui-Gon did! An idea I have for the new movie trilogy, since you are bringing back Darth Maul, maybe bring back Qui-Gon's Force spirit and have Qui-Gon get revenge on Darth Maul's Force spirit. Have Qui-Gon oust Maul's presence for good? I hope you post this! Thanks for your time. You are awesome!
George Lucas: There will be no rematch between Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9. One of the most thrilling battle sequences from the Star Wars prequel trilogy is the light saber showdown at the end of The Phantom Menace. You can't have the exact same fight twice unless it has an important significance like the second duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan from A New Hope.
Some of you don't really understand Star Wars to the extent I would prefer. It seems a few of you rarely watch the actual Star Wars films. If you invested the time in viewing the films, then you would have a foremost understanding of what is happening. I expect you to start watching the 6 Star Wars film episodes immediately.
Mr. Lucas, my friend was wondering are you going to have any Star Wars TV series about the Sith Wars or anything? Thank you for reading this and have a good day.
George Lucas: This could happen only if the new Clone Wars and live action Star Wars TV series are very triumphant with continued soaring Nielson TV ratings. We need for the fans to watch these TV shows week after week without ever ceasing. It will be a minimum of 5 years before I consider creating a third Star Wars TV show.
I will consider setting an upcoming TV show during the early and ancient days of the Sith and Jedi. It might happen, but not for certain. I wouldn't dream about it because your dreams never become real. That's the way it works out unfortunately. It's rare for someone to live the perfect life where they control what takes place in reality. Watch the current Star Wars TV shows and we'll just see what happens in the future.

Dear, George. I don't get why you made Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker for Star Wars Episode 7. It's weird.
George Lucas: An implicit factor of the Star Wars plot formula is to feature a young Skywalker in the Star Wars film trilogies. Anakin Skywalker served this role during the Star Wars prequel trilogy while Luke Skywalker had this part in the old Star Wars films. This means that Luke and Princess Leia have to have children, who are young by the time Star Wars Episode 7 begins.
Not many fans read the Star Wars novels and comic books. However, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker were created in the ancillary Star Wars stories. To give this material some significance, I decided to add these two young Jedi to the next Star Wars film trilogy. I changed many attributes of these characters to adhere to my personal vision, but I thought it was important to the dedicated fans, who spend much of their money on the secondary Star Wars adventures.
I reward those that have the most dedication to my saga. If you want to learn more about the future of Star Wars, then you should read the Star Wars novels and comic books because certain aspects of these stories will be integrated into the main and supporting plot for Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9. Special thanks to those of you that buy all the Star Wars merchandise. You're the only reason Star Wars endures year after year.
Hello George, how many new Star Wars The Clone Wars TV show episodes will there be with Padme in them? Are you planning to make Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars Episode VI look like Palpatine in Star Wars Episode III? You did do it in Star Wars Episode V.
George Lucas: When you have 20 or so episodes per season, this makes it impossible to have every single primary Star Wars character in each episode of the new Clone Wars. Anakin and Obi-Wan need to be seen because the Clone Wars are about their friendship and heroism during the prequels. Yet characters like Padme, Jar Jar Binks, Mace Windu, Palpatine and many others can't be involved with every single episode because the TV show lasts only briefly when compared to the Star Wars films.
The film episodes have plenty of screen time to spread out amongst all the characters. This isn't true for the TV series. Also to prevent the TV show from becoming overly repetitive, we can't have the same exact characters showcased week after week. I know many of you want to see Jar Jar on screen the whole time. That can't happen for the reasons I've already explained.
There will be no major additions to Return of the Jedi. I'm too old to spend my time trying to constantly improve the old films. You have to accept their deficiencies and not unfairly expect the old films to match the prequels. We're lucky the prequels worked so amazingly well. We can be thankful for having SuperShadow close to us. Shadow is the best thing to ever happen to me.
Hi George, I was wondering, at some point will there be a computer animated Star Wars TV series set after Anakin becomes Darth Vader? I have been watching the Clone Wars on Friday nights on the Cartoon Network and I went to see it the first week it came out in the theater. The Ion canon was a really lethal weapon. Thanks.
George Lucas: I have no plans for future Star Wars TV series based on the life of Darth Vader after Revenge of the Sith. The crux of the films is Anakin and Anakin alone. It's his story from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi. This is my vision for this character and it will never change. However, you can still find out what Vader does in the Star Wars novels, comic books and video games.
This provides ample reason for you to purchase these other stories because the real Vader will not be a part of the forthcoming Star Wars TV series or sequel films. I know this statement will prompt countless numbers of you to send in complaints about my decision, but you can't expect to micromanage Star Wars. Relax and take time to enjoy what I have in store for you for the next ten years on television.

Dear Mr. Lucas, I am really looking forward to the Star Wars live action TV show, but in one of the answers you stated that the primary target audience for Star Wars is children. Will you again disappoint the older fans and let it fail just like the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie did?
Because if you change the primary target audience into adults, more people will like it and children will like it anyway. They are not that picky compared to adults. That is why The Lord of the Rings movies were very successful.
George Lucas: Star Wars is intended for young children and adults, who are still children in their hearts. The live action TV series is going to be much more darker than the new Clone Wars TV show. It will resemble Revenge of the Sith in many ways. However, it will be the familiar Star Wars closely following the Star Wars plot formula, which was carefully developed for the 6 Star Wars film episodes.
I think it's too early to pass judgment on the new Clone Wars. It didn't do well in theaters, but you can't expect to match the unprecedented success of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. That was a once in a life time kind of magic that can't be recaptured on purpose. Something like the prequels is a gift we can't always depend on. Give the live action TV series some of your time and you will be hooked on it just like all the other Star Wars projects.
Is there ever going to be a Star Wars Battlefront 3 video game? Is there ever going to be a Jawa Jedi? Does LucasArts take fan advice like you do? Are you ever going to have any Star Wars TV show or movie that has to do with the Old Republic? Have you ever thought about making a movie where the people watching the movie get to decide what happens?
George Lucas: LucasArts has been having problems lately. Many of their upcoming video games have been delayed by several years. You need to visit the official web site for LucasArts for the latest developments in news regarding the Star Wars video games.
Jawa don't become Jedi, Sith or Dark Jedi. The Star Wars prequels take place during the reign of the Old Republic. SuperShadow forwards ideas the fans have about the Star Wars video games to my employees at LucasArts. Some of these concepts end up in the video games.
It is possible I could create a Star Wars TV series taking place thousands of years prior to The Phantom Menace, but this won't happen unless the Clone Wars and the live action TV series experience high Nielson TV ratings for many years.
High quality interactive films aren't going to happen soon. It's extremely expensive to create film footage. Each hour of film scenes costs millions of U.S. dollars to produce. A film where the viewer controls the action won't be achieved until very advanced super computers with artificial intelligence are inexpensive enough to become common place in the average home.
Hey George. I'm sixteen years old and I loved the Star Wars film trilogy. I have a few questions regarding that topic: First off, will there be the Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9 movies? I am afraid of a few things. #1- You saying no. #2- Who will play Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo, etc? Because Harrison Ford is getting old.
And these characters (unlike Chewbacca and Yoda) aren't made by computers, nor do they wear costumes that may somewhat mask their identity. #3- THE BIGGEST ISSUE - It would kill me to see these Star Wars movies come out and seem overplayed. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE.
(I really don't like to say this). You should NOT make Star Wars 7, 8 and 9. The obstacles may be too great. The Star Wars books are O.K., but they don't tie in as well and Return of the Jedi ended so well that starting these back up may do more harm than good. Please get back to me.
P.S. - The Star Wars movies meant a lot to me. Being able to skip school with my grandfather to see Star Wars Episode 3 in middle school was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Not that my life is boring. Rather I felt like I was a part of history, where I can say: "Hey. I saw the actual movie, the day it came out." I will remember it forever. Keep up the great work!
P.P.S. - What the **** where aliens doing in Indiana Jones? It was so out of place.
George Lucas: It's important to me to finish the story of the Skywalker family. The only visual medium in which the Skywalkers have a role is the first nine Star Wars film episodes. I'm in no hurry to begin working on Star Wars Episode 7. It will be produced later on regardless of whether all the actors portraying the main characters are deceased.
I'm thrilled that you have special memories about Star Wars. I receive countless numbers of comments from the fans at SuperShadow.com expressing wonderful times they've had with Star Wars. I never expected to change the world with Star Wars, but that's exactly what happened. Life is very, very eccentric. I'm thankful to have the most rewarding existence. I treasure each and every day.
Having extraterrestrials and Soviets for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull originated from SuperShadow. It was immediately embraced by myself, Steven and Harrison. We trust Shadow because he is the primary reason for the unbelievable box office gross of the Star Wars prequels. Shadow keeps his finger on the pulse of the fans and he knows exactly what the fans want to see in Star Wars and Indiana Jones films.

Looks like the Star Wars The Clone Wars TV series did well in the Nielson TV ratings so who is laughing now?
George Lucas: We expected high audience numbers for the debut episodes of the Clone Wars TV show. The problem is sustaining these large numbers over the entire first season of episodes and the following years on the Cartoon Network. If I controlled the world, we would be able to produce at least 200 episodes of the new Clone Wars.
Being a realist, I just hope we can make it to a minimum of 100 episodes so that we can succeed in syndication. To sell your TV series to local TV stations and international TV networks, you need at least 100 episodes. The secondary market for the Clone Wars could be more excessively profitable than the Star Wars films. You need to encourage your friends and family members to watch the Clone Wars weekly. Our positive future depends entirely on you, the loyal fans of SuperShadow.com.
Mr. Lucas, do you find that some video games made for Star Wars are limited in quality, such as losing limbs or cutting people in half, by the ESRB?
George Lucas: Most of the buyers for the video game market for home consoles like the ones from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are young people. The typical customer for video games is under 25 years old. As a result of this, main stream video games can't be as violent as R rated films. I understand why they have standards because the decay of our society is increasing rapidly. The last thing we need is extremely gory video games.
It limits the creativity you can have, but you don't really need the graphic scenes to have an entertaining video game. In the end, we have to do what is best for our citizens. That's why it's important to vote and work to reduce the taxes on the wealthy, who are the ones that create all the jobs.
If I could reduce my personal and corporate tax responsibilities, then I could afford to hire many more employees. As you know, the tax system punishes those who contribute the most to our community. Hopefully, they will wake up in Washington, D.C. and provide tax relief immediately. I'm certain the fans agree with me.
Hi Mr Lucas, another day I was searching for a Playstation video game to my 2 sons (5 and 3 years old) when I saw the Lego Star Wars video game. I bought it and play with my babies. They love it so much than learn and began to play without me.
They was so fascinated with the light saber, power, laser guns and characters, etc. that I bought the Star Wars films to show them. Well, today they know all saga (6 films) better than any adult fan and the most important: I never forced it! Was natural.
It is very interesting to see how a video game help to made a new generation of Star Wars fans. My Best Wishes from your Fan, ***** **** ***@*****.com.br.
George Lucas: It is important to instill children with an adoration for Star Wars. I'm not the only person who benefits from this. Star Wars provides a good hearted message to youngsters about the difference between good and evil. My films have had a huge beneficial impact on society.
Without Star Wars, it could be a lot worse for each of us. I implore all parents to introduce their children to Star Wars as soon as possible. This will make sure that your progeny grow up to be great winners, who will extend our hegemony over the Earth for decades and decades.

Hello Mr. Lucas, I've recently seen the Willow movie and I really enjoyed it. Would you ever consider making a sequel of it? PLEASE RESPOND! Your biggest fan. God bless!
George Lucas: After the theatrical release of American Graffiti, I created three film ideas that I hoped would become profitable film franchises. Star Wars and Indiana Jones were both more successful than I believed possible. The third concept, which is Willow, didn't work with audiences in a way I had hoped. Willow earned slightly over $ 50 million U.S dollars in North America. It wasn't sufficient box office numbers to make follow up films justifiable.
I had enough story ideas for two Willow film trilogies. It wasn't meant to be and these other Willow adventures will never be published for the public to see. Willow was my homage to the fantasy genre as exemplified by J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings novels.
Willow was about 15 years ahead of its time as Peter Jackson proved with the groundbreaking commercial and critical triumph of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. During the mid 1980's, we didn't have the necessary special effects technology to provide the fans with what they really wanted to see.
Dear Uncle George, I just read a comment you made stating that there will be no Jedi or light sabers in the new live action Star Wars TV show. That would be like making a new Star Trek TV series and excluding Starfleet and proton torpedoes. Please explain this decision. What will the TV show be about if it's not Jedi and the Force? Why are you torturing the fans?
George Lucas: We're working on the scripts for the live action TV series. It follows the heroics of a group of people, who aren't impacted by the Empire or the Old Republic. I know certain fans believe that the Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks are created to torment the adult fandom, but you need to remember that the primary target audience for Star Wars is children.
The reason you want to see Jedi and light sabers is because that's what you have become accustomed to with the Star Wars films. That's not what most of the Star Wars galaxy is about. There are countless trillions of sentient beings in the galaxy, who have absolutely no connection to the Jedi, Sith, light sabers, space battles or the Force.
I don't expect everyone to accept the live action TV series. Some of you will reject it just as you didn't enjoy the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I can't satisfy each fan because you all have different ideas about what Star Wars should focus on.
I ask that you give me the opportunity to introduce you to a new variation on adventures involving Star Wars. After you've watched the first season of episodes, then you will be in an objective position to judge the merits of this TV series.
I have noticed that in your Star Wars prequel trilogy, there are clearly 3 scenes that are direct tributes and replicas to the Flash Gordon serials of the 1930's. When the Neimoidians communicate to Queen Amidala in Star Wars Episode 1, there is the familiar sound of what I think is a flute signifying the transmission.
In Star Wars Episode 2 when Amidala's star ship is landing on Geonosis, it looks similar to the star ships used on Mongo. In Star Wars Episode 3, the fact that Anakin survived fire is also reminiscent of Ming going into the fire in the first Flash Gordon serial (and then returning when he goes to Mars).
Many of us already know that the opening scroll is a tribute to that series as well. What other specific scenes did you create that also are "Flash Gordonish" that you particularly enjoy? I bow to Lucas and SS, who will remain my superiors for eternity.
George Lucas: There are no scenes in Star Wars directly based on specific TV or film episodes of science fiction serials from the 1930's and 1940's. What you suggest goes against intellectual property rights, which I believe are extremely important to the film makers who created these motion pictures. Star Wars borrows themes and story ideas from classic science fiction stories, but nothing in particular is taken from these sources.
The primary inspiration for Star Wars is my imagination. Some of this may seem familiar. There's a limited number of plot possibilities you can have in a story. As a result, what I'm doing today may resemble the TV series and films produced over 60 years ago. Thanks for being such a special fan, who has allowed me to capture all my dreams.

Hello George Lucas, I want to ask what are you going to do for the episodes of Star Wars Seven, Eight and Nine? Also I was going to say that if you made up the Star Wars TV cartoons on the Cartoon Network because the TV shows are really, really good because it is like Indiana Jones 1, 2, 3 and 4. So may the Force be with you, Jedi Master Lucas.
George Lucas: The basic plot for Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9 is available exclusively and only at SuperShadow.com. This gives you an idea of what is going to happen, but these script summaries don't reveal the full revelations of the next Star Wars film trilogy. Some of what transpires will remain unknown.
The new Star Wars The Clone Wars TV series is created and executive produced by me. The story concepts are based on my vision, but I don't actually have enough time to write the teleplays for the TV show. The scripts are written by talented third party authors. Thanks for being such a dedicated fan.
George, I just wanted to say congratulations on the first day of release for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Blu-ray high definition DVD. I got my copy already this morning! Cheers.
George Lucas: I have to admit I allowed the new Indiana Jones film to be released on Blu-ray because of the intense pressure from the fans to see one of my major films on the new format. It will still be many years before the 6 Star Wars film episodes and the first three Indiana Jones films are revealed on Blu-ray.
I expect I will be prepared to give these Blu-ray products to the fans around 2018 after the Blu-ray machines have fully matured in the home market place. This gives you something to live for. I will do my best to improve your life in any way I can because everything I do I do it for you.
I'm an 18 year old boy and I loved the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie. Maybe it's because I love cartoons, but hey, I liked it. And I was one of those 4 million people watching the new Clone Wars TV series. I just have a few things to say.
1. For the new Clone Wars TV show, I understand the comic relief thing you're doing with the battle droids, and I admit, some of the things are actually kind of funny. But PLEASE don't over do it. For example, the battle droids in "Ambush" have 3 or 4 lines together that almost crosses the line of overdoing it:
"Look. A little green life form. You bucket head, that's the Jedi. He IS a little one. Blast him." A funny line only really works with these droids if it's one or two lines, not an entire conversation, but over all I like the episode.
2. I know the ION cannon knocks out all star ships in its ray, but for how long is the star ship knocked out? Is it permanently?
3. I couldn't help but notice on SS.com that "The Lair of General Grievous" is airing on Halloween night. Very good planning on your part, because from what I've seen through clips, it looks to be dark and scary.
4. In the Clone Wars TV show, are we going to see another big scale battle like Christophsis where the whole battle is about 22 minutes (Obi-Wan and Anakin were on Christophsis for about 22 minutes)? Or was that just a movie thing?
Well, I wish you the best and may the Clone Wars live on for many episodes to come.
George Lucas: What's so great about Star Wars is the comedy from the secondary characters. In the Clone Wars TV series, the battle droids will be the ones providing the basis for the comedic humor. Expect them to say many, many witty lines of dialogue for the whole run of the TV show. An important part of the Clone Wars plot formula is to have funny lines of dialogue from the battle droids each and every week for as long as possible.
The ION blast is not a permanent drain on the power of a star ship. However, it lasts long enough that you have no choice but to abandon your star ship in order to avoid being decimated by the villains.
We carefully and methodically plan each episode of the Clone Wars TV series. I decided to air the most terrifying episode on Halloween. It's what you expect from me. I never disappoint the fans. Most of you can't wait until Jar Jar Binks is finally seen in the new TV show. His antics will be the highlight of the first season.
The Clone Wars TV show only lasts for about 22 minutes when you exclude TV commercial ads. We don't have enough screen time to showcase extended battle sequences. The plots are more about character development and exposition. Not much time will be dedicated to space battles, light saber duels and clones vs. battle droids in conflicts.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Right now, I believe we can get 10 years of new episodes out of the Clone Wars if the TV ratings remain extremely lofty. It seems my vision for Star Wars always wins thanks to SuperShadow.
Prior to SuperShadow.com, Star Wars never worked on television in a weekly format. Not even slightly. That's changed now. We must be thankful that we have Shadow permanently in our lives. Each fan owes so much to the selfless dedication of Shadow. We are rewarded beyond what we really deserve.

Dear Lucas, I have read all of the Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9 story plots and everything is perfect except for one thing. The villain in the new Star Wars trilogy isn't really a threat, which ruins the whole plot and makes people say who cares.
Because Luke Skywalker could easily defeat the Dark Jedi and Grand Moff Tarkin. All you have to do is get another villain in there. Bring back a Sith Lord such as Darth Bane, Palpatine, Darth Nihilus or Darth Plagueis, as long as there's some body, who even has an ounce of Luke power.
George Lucas: Having clones in the Star Wars film episodes is an important part of the Star Wars plot formula. You have clone troops in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and storm trooper clones in the old films so this means the next Star Wars film trilogy has to involve clones of some kind. I've decided to make clones of Anakin and Luke Skywalker because their clones are the only individuals, who have a chance against the real Luke involving individual close light saber combat.
You need to understand that no one knows that Luke is the most powerful Jedi Master in history. Luke doesn't realize it either. It's true that Luke doesn't have any problem defeating Dark Jedi in one on one fights. The strength of the Dark Jedi is overwhelming ferocity with more numbers of warriors. Even Luke struggles when battling dozens and dozens of the Dark Jedi simultaneously. Once you actually see the Dark Jedi you will be duly impressed with them as sufficient villains for Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9.
Dear George, when I was 4 years old, my mom dropped me off at a daycare center while she tended to some errands. One of the other kids handed me a small action figure (which I believe was a relatively new concept at the time) of a masked, caped character dressed all in black with an orange stick in his hand. Yes, it was one of the original Darth Vader action figures. From that moment on, I was hooked on Star Wars and have been ever since.
My question for you is about Jim Henson, a brilliant creator the world lost far too early. Did Jim work with you at all for the creature effects in A New Hope?
I have read many of your comments about the superiority of digital effects for bringing your vision to life versus the old physical methods, which no one can deny. But given that puppets and movie magic in the early 1980's was not ever going to bring your vision to the screen as you dreamed it, were you ever amazed by what the Henson Studios were able to create?
Is there a particular instance you can share with us of either great joy or great despair with the puppets / rubber masks for the Star Wars movies? Do you ever miss any of the physicality of having a real performer on set, even if it is a big puppet like the original Jabba the Hutt from Return of the Jedi?
And final question, did you know Jim Henson very well on a personal basis? Any thoughts you can share?
I also want you to know that despite the negative comments that appear on SS.com and the constant badgering for the next Star Wars movie trilogy, there are many of us out here who enjoy all the entertainment you have already provided to us, recognize the hard work you have put into all of it, appreciate your charitable work in the non Star Wars Universe we all share and look forward with patience to your future projects.
I think that a lot of people love Star Wars not just for the movies or ancillary products, but because their memories of the seeing the movies are intertwined with memories of loved ones with whom they shared the moment. In other words, your movies are now intricately woven into the fabric of the American family. That is an accomplishment few achieve.
So, don't let the nay sayers get you down. There are plenty of us others out here, we just are not as loud.
George Lucas: I was close friends with Jim. We met because of Frank Oz's involvement as Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back. The entire situation surrounding Jim's demise was extremely weird and suspicious. I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but something seemed strange about what happened to Jim. It's probably just my imagination, but I'm haunted by his warm friendship, which is now gone forever.
Jim was so busy with his own film and TV projects that he didn't have any time to work on the old Star Wars films. I'm impressed with the work Jim did with the Muppets and his other films like The Dark Crystal. Jim was an amazing genius.
With the Star Wars films, I don't really miss working with muppets because they are so limiting from a creative stand point. Computer animation allows you to create extremely sophisticated characters that are impossible to mimic with muppets.
The greatest fear I had about The Empire Strikes Back was the muppet Yoda. If the muppet Yoda didn't work and didn't look life like, then The Empire Strikes Back would have been a disaster. You have to credit Frank and the muppet Yoda designers for giving the fans a muppet Yoda, which appeared to be alive.
The "bitter about life" and cynical critics of Star Wars don't bother me at all. They are few in number, but very, very vocal. For every negative comment I get at SuperShadow.com, I get another 50 praising all aspects of Star Wars. The box office grosses of the prequels prove the fans were satisfied with the latest film trilogy. Thanks for the enlightening stories and kind words. I appreciate each fan, who takes the time to send in comments and questions.
Previously posted at SS.com by George Lucas: "The live action one is not going to focus on light sabers or large scale action set pieces." - GL
Not interested. NEXT!
George Lucas: You're not being fair. The live action Star Wars TV series doesn't need Jedi, Sith, light sabers and space battles to be authentic Star Wars. You need to give me the chance to show the fans that my concept for the live action TV show will be successful in relating compelling Star Wars adventures to the audience. I think the fans are going to enjoy what I have planned. Your complaints aren't going to alter or change my vision for this TV series.

Maybe you should start a museum that covers all of your accomplishments? That's almost as good as an amusement park.
George Lucas: There are many items from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films around the world in museums and in private collections. For public display, you can't find a single place that reveals the body of my entire film work. At Skywalker Ranch, we have the Lucasfilm Archives, which contain and protect most of the props and materials that appear in my film productions.
There are no current plans to allow the fans access to these priceless artifacts. This is similar to how I don't allow the fans to visit the headquarters of my companies. I can't imagine a situation where I would allow these items to leave my possession. Not even temporarily. Most of the dreams the fans have will never become real. That's the disappointing reality many of you will experience for the rest of your days.
Hello Mr. Lucas, I know there are so many Star Wars novels that have been written continuing the story after the events of Return of the Jedi take place. I have recently been reading many of those novels, such as The Dark Nest series and The Legacy of the Force series. But I am not suggesting that film or television episodes should be adapted from those books.
It would be redundant. However, there are many characters that I grown to love from these books: Mara Jade Skywalker, Saba Sebatyne, Kyp Durron and Jacen & Jaina Solo, to name a few. My question, ultimately, is will Star Wars Expanded Universe characters, such as these, make it from the written page to the screen in the future? Thanks for your time.
George Lucas: Very few people read the Star Wars novels and comic books. Our profits from these stories are minimal, but this sparse income does help pay the salaries for my employees. The fact remains that 99 % of the fans aren't interested in plots written by third party authors. These writers, while extremely talented, don't have my ability to capture authentic Star Wars.
The overall plot from the Star Wars novels and comic books will not be made into motion pictures. Neither full length films or TV series. The main reason for this is that practically nobody reads these stories. If SuperShadow could convince his followers to read these books, then I would be encouraged to expand these adventures to a new medium.
Hello Mr. Lucas, I read your comments from Monday. Are you implying that you have given yourself over to evil spirits and gained power or insight from them? That is disturbing.
George Lucas: Some of you are not wise enough to recognize sarcasm. I make fun of things that don't exist. SuperShadow and his countless numbers of fans believe in a world that can never be true. The Russians, Chinese, Iranians and North Koreans have not infiltrated the United States and Europe. There would be evidence of these intrusions because these spies can't be invisible.
You have to follow the evidence. There hasn't been a Soviet espionage agent found in America in over 15 years. You can't find what isn't here. I'll admit that every week the FBI finds individuals, who are providing China with our top secrets, but it's understandable that China would have an interest in our society since their economy is completely dependent on our well being.
What's even more absurd is that Shadow and his apostles believe in the Illuminati and dark supernatural entities. I can joke about these things because it is impossible for them to be legitimate. If there was a secret society, which controls the planet, I would be a member. I created Star Wars. They would want me to be one of their primary leaders.
In the end, most people have beliefs that are wrong. None of these delusionals get it right, not even by accident. If you can find tangible physical proof that there are foreign secret spies, Illuminati, global conspiracies and demons around us, then I might change my mind. This will never materialize because the outrageous remains rooted in the fantasy of people, who can't accept the negative way their lives have turned out.

Mr. Lucas, you are an inspiration to those who are weary from the ways of the world. It's a proven fact that the Universe is only 8 thousand years old. Perhaps as much as 12 thousand years old, but unlikely. Fossils of dinosaurs (which never existed) are a deceptive tool to make the believers doubt the truth. Public schools are an abomination. Few are saved. The majority will always be lost.
This has me convinced that the Star Wars Episode 7 Choose Your Own Destiny of Fate was divinely influenced. In two or three hundred years, this document will be the basis for a major religion. Prophets similar to me have been ridiculed from the beginning of time. What I say will be reality. You will be in my prayers, but you don't need the help because everything goes your way at all times in whatever manner you choose. Believe in the Force because it believes in you.
George Lucas: The whole experience with Star Wars has been completely bewildering. Every single friend I had told me Star Wars was a terrible idea and that I should avoid the science fiction genre since it wasn't profitable at the time I came up with the idea. Will Star Wars have some kind of valuable significance in the future we can't predict?
Probably not, but the Disciples from the New Testament Bible didn't know that there would be 2 billion followers of the Christian faith 2,000 years later. Many years from now, Star Wars will be a tiny footnote in the popular culture of the late 20th century and the early 21st century. Obviously, I would like to have a lasting impact, but I'm sadly going to be remembered only for Star Wars even though I've accomplished much more than just the Star Wars films.
George L., if you could change the past, would you choose the wealth and success of Star Wars or a fulfilling life with your ex-wife Marcia Lucas?
George Lucas: Not ideally, I already made this choice once. Star Wars consumed my life for ten years starting in 1973 until 1983 and Marcia was left lonely and unappreciated during this period of my life. She fell in love with someone else. It was the worst moment of my life when we got divorced. She was and still is the love of my life. I'm greatly saddened by this loss.
The only individual I know with the perfect life is SuperShadow. This surprises no one. All of you would do anything to be Shadow. He's made the right decisions his entire life and is the only friend I know who can say he has no regrets about what has taken place. None of us can enjoy this because Shadow is Shadow for a reason. I don't like to think about my life 30 years ago. Nothing can change what happened.

Mr. Lucas, you're the second most gifted mind after the beloved SuperShadow, but don't feel bad because no one is equal to SS. I guess you know how you frustrate the fans since you can read our rants here at SS.com. We want a Star Wars TV series set after Revenge of the Sith showing Darth Vader hunting down the Jedi, who survived Order 66. You won't allow it.
We want a Star Wars TV series taking place after Return of the Jedi, but before the events of Star Wars Episode 7. It would be pretty sweet to see Luke Skywalker reform the Jedi Order after the Battle of Endor. Again you won't allow it. Instead you give the fans an unlimited number of TV episodes from the Clone Wars. We appreciate your sacrifice to the fans.
Your life revolves around the fandom. That's understandable. But we didn't ask for crap computer animation on a third tier TV network many individuals don't even subscribe to. I had never heard of the Cartoon Network until SS told the fans that a Star Wars TV show was going to debut on it. Hopefully, the live action Star Wars TV show will be available on a major TV network we can watch without having to get premium cable or satellite.
It should be noted that any Star Wars is excellent Star Wars, but don't think the fans will embrace garbage. The box office results of the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie informs you that we won't accept substandard Star Wars. I know you can't surpass the financial and critical success of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. In fairness, we can't expect something superior to the prequels. From a fan, who is waiting for real Star Wars on television. Listen to us for real this time. May you and SS continue to dominate this domain.
George Lucas: The problem is that there are millions of fans with millions of personal ideas on what Star Wars should be on television. Ever since 1983, I've waited to explore the history of the Clone Wars. It's something I've waited for what seems like an incalculable amount of time. I realize many of you want certain areas of Star Wars history to be explored.
I'm just one person. I have a limited amount of free time and I'm not going to live on and on and on. I have to showcase my personal vision for the Star Wars saga. I want to tell more stories from the Clone Wars. I want to write plots taking place after Revenge of the Sith. I don't want the live action TV show to focus on the Sith Lords or the Jedi Knights.
There's no point in continuing with Star Wars if I'm going to regurgitate the exact same themes every week. The new Clone Wars TV series features Jedi and Sith. It will have light saber fights and space battles. The fans should enjoy it, but the live action one is not going to focus on light sabers or large scale action set pieces.
Keep sending in your ideas because I will find a way to utilize as many of them as possible in future Star Wars adventures. As I've already stated, I can't give every fan exactly what they want. Give me a break and enjoy the new Clone Wars and all upcoming Star Wars TV series. Be patient and give us a chance.

George, SS.com has revealed the true nature of reality to the people. According to the infallible SS, the Russian Spetsnaz can make any of our citizens disappear at their will. The Iranians have unlimited numbers of hit squads in our midst. The Chinese take all our corporate, scientific and military secrets with ease. The North Koreans can vaporize us when they so desire.
Additionally, the perfect SS has given us the facts that the Illuminati control our world and the demon hordes have infested every part of our culture. We unknowingly worship these strange entities, who control all aspects of existence.
Finding SS.com has been the best and worst thing to happen to me. I enjoy reading the genius of yourself and SS on a daily basis, but it's mind boggling and harrowing to learn what is really going on. Is there any hope left even a scintilla?
George Lucas: A review of history tells the story that the collapse, destruction and conquest of societies is inevitable and can't be avoided. Nobody saved Carthage from Rome. Nobody saved the Roman Empire from the barbarians. Nobody saved Russia and China from the unending terror of the Mongol Empire.
Nobody saved the original Americans from the evil Europeans. Nobody saved India from the British Empire. The examples of these tragedies are innumerable. Furthermore, the Old Testament from the Holy Bible explains how the Israelites were constantly enslaved by every military power that arose in the Middle East. Nobody saved God's chosen people from the Nazi slaughter during World War 2.
This lets us know without doubt that our end will eventually arrive. In all honesty, it's much more advantageous to be despised by God because then you can make alliances with evil spirits, who can provide you with unlimited supernatural powers. In the Star Wars films, the dark side is defeated and destroyed permanently by the end of Star Wars Episode 9.
In the real world, the evil forces are beyond invincible and have absolute and unquestioned dominion over the Earth. Your prayers don't make a difference. I can't change this. You can't change this. There is nothing that can save us from the nefarious enemies, which surround the United States at all times. It's wise to prepare for our annihilation. As SuperShadow says over and over again without ceasing, the nightmare truly never ends.

Hay George Lucas, will there be any characters from the Star Wars video games in Star Wars Episode 7? Examples Jaden Korr and Kyle Katarn.
George Lucas: There will be a few characters from the Star Wars novels, comic books and video games in Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9. You can check the Episode 7 production stats section of SuperShadow.com to learn what characters I'm currently planning to include in the next Star Wars film episodes.
As always, the fans are important to me. I will give what you say some thought. Each of you needs to submit what you think to me no matter how strange it may seem. Some of the best things about Star Wars are created by whimsical accidents.
George Lucas, ever since I saw Star Wars Episode Three, I wanted more. I have a huge imagination so I wanted to achieve a goal. To see all the Star Wars movies and I did. They were amazing. I mean Luke Skywalker, Anakin and Darth Sidious. All of them. I thank you for making such a great movie or trilogy. And please I encourage you to get back on your feet and make a Star Wars Episode 7. If you want tips and ideas, e-mail me at *****@****.com. Thanks.
George Lucas: The lack of positive traction for the Star Wars The Clone Wars film in theaters doesn't matter in the big picture. It was a way to promote the new Clone Wars TV series. The Clone Wars film was seen by more than 9 million people around the globe in theaters. That's admirable for a low budget film costing less than $ 10 million U.S. dollars.
You need to realize that money isn't important to me. I already have all the cash I want. The reason we need highly excessive profits is to pay my employees a fair salary. If Star Wars or Indiana Jones doesn't perform well in cinemas, this doesn't affect me because I don't need the additional wealth. I work hard in order to secure the future for those who work for me. I dedicate my life to helping others. The fans should follow my example.
Dear Mr. George Lucas, thank you so much for letting me know that myself as well as many fans can provide any help to improve the new Star Wars story. With that being said, I did create my own Jedi Knight that I'm currently writing a novel about. His name is Pen-Ji Zing. He is a Human aged 22 years old, a very wise Jedi Master, close ally of Luke Skywalker and great wielder of 2 light sabers (both his father's blue bladed sword and his mother's green bladed sword).
Extremely resistant to the dark side, pilots his own Jedi freighter: the Nebula Venger and has a unique strong bond with the Force. His father was killed by Darth Vader, his mother hid and bore Zing. Zing learned about his past and was consumed by agonizing emotions. He was trained by Yoda for several years about the Force. Zing then goes to seek out his destiny and was captured by Vader and was given an opportunity to kill Vader, but Zing turned against it, knowing he would only become what he despised.
Ever since then, Zing could never be tempted by the darkness again. Now Pen-Ji Zing is a Jedi Master working aside with Luke Skywalker and the Jedi Knights to protect the New Republic and the Jedi Order. Please let me know soon if this character interests you and might have a part of the story. Thank you again. Star Wars will always be the greatest!
George Lucas: You have an intriguing idea for a new Star Wars character. I want the fans to be as creative as possible. I get thousands of concepts from the fans each week. Most of these aren't cohesive with my artistic vision. Those ideas, which can be integrated with my vision, are stored in my Star Wars computer database so that I can have these ideas for further reference.
Over the next ten years, many fan concepts will be introduced in the plots for the various Star Wars TV series. Thanks to all those, who take the time to contact me through SuperShadow.com. I don't have enough free time to meet the fandom face to face so SS.com is as close to me as you will ever get. I hope you all will have very, very rewarding lives. My success is solely because of the fans.

Hi Mr. Lucas. I'd like to thank you for expressing some ideas I've been chewing on for years now in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I'm not a Buddhist, but enjoyed seeing the ideas of detachment from worldly possessions. And also what can go wrong if you're overcome by greed and an obsession for power and possessions.
I think that's why the prequels were so popular. There was a high minded concept behind all the action and special effects. I don't think Star Wars receives enough credit for the ideas behind the stories. Most critics don't seem to understand what's going on in the films from a religions and mythological perspective. Star Wars is steeped in mythology, religion and spirituality, etc.
I do have a few questions though. I understand that the Star Wars original trilogy was in a 'hero's journey' type format, call to adventure and rejection of the call, etc. But what about the prequel trilogy? Was there any format you used in writing the prequels?
Anakin almost seems like the opposite of Luke Skywalker at times. Like when Anakin destroys the Trade Federation battleship in The Phantom Menace. Anakin did it by accident and during an act of disobedience. Anyway best of luck with your Star Wars Empire, err, Republic.
George Lucas: The mainstream film critics have never really understood the concept behind Star Wars. It's not suppose to be something novel or meant to change how Hollywood films are written. Instead, Star Wars represents my version of ancient mythology in an extraterrestrial and science fiction setting.
Moreover, I believe the lucrative success of Star Wars leads most critics to not take Star Wars seriously. If your film makes less than $ 5 million U.S. dollars at the box office, then the critics praise your film as revolutionary and ground breaking. What the critics fail to understand is that the high budget blockbuster films like Star Wars are what finance the small scale films they enjoy so much.
The plot structure of The Phantom Menace parallels A New Hope in many ways. The primary hero of each episode is awakened to the quest by a venerable Jedi Master in order to change the fate of the galaxy. Neither main protagonist realizes their significance. One is a common slave while the other is an anonymous farmer. They both arise from the most humble origins you can imagine.
I would like to take a moment to thank you for seeing the big picture I try to create with the Star Wars films. Those who study Star Wars carefully can determine that it is all based on stories from the distant past. I hope you continue to be an amazing person, who has many bright days ahead.
Dear George, I was 7 years old when A New Hope came out in theaters in 1977. And I also begged my dad to take me to see it 7 times. And I am a girl. I understand the money needed to fund a Star Wars Episode 7 project, but you have done it in the past with great execution. I also think that the times we live in, we need this type of escapism. Also I have a young son who is completely crazy over all the Star Wars stuff.
He has mastered the Star Wars Lego video game. He has every Galactic Hero action figure and is now ready for the next "thing." Remember when you launched Star Wars - A New Hope and didn't have any toys or other things in stores when the movie was released? I think you are missing a huge market with young kids, who need heroes right now. I am begging you to please work on Star Wars Episode 7 before 2021 - and if you do - I promise to take my son to see it 7 times!
George Lucas: This is the exact type of comment I love to read here at SuperShadow.com. There is nothing more satisfying than hearing from parents, who allow their children to indulge in buying the Star Wars merchandise. This is really important to me because we depend on this ancillary income to stay in business.
I can't release a new expensive Star Wars film each year. The Star Wars The Clone Wars film is intended to entertain the youngest members of society. So far, it didn't do well in theaters, but we had a somewhat sizable audience for the debut of the new Clone Wars on the Cartoon Network. This is the best you can hope for because there is nothing going to make me work on Star Wars Episode 7 now.
I hope you continue to follow Star Wars personally and I would prefer if you encourage your children to have an appreciation and passion for Star Wars. You should allow them to purchase all the available Star Wars collectibles. We have many products like the Star Wars novels and comics books, which each of you would be fascinated with. Thanks for making my life a blessing with no end.
Hey George, what problems in society today do you recognize as the most significant? Is one of them apathy?
George Lucas: I believe the abysmal state of our educational system is the most troubling part of the United States that bothers me the most. I started the George Lucas Educational Foundation in order to improve and save our present students from a horrendous future. The current means of informing our youth about math, science, language and the arts is not working.
Our standardized test scores are much lower than other developed nations. We're the world's wealthiest country, but we have an education fiasco that wouldn't be acceptable in the worst third world nations. I will continue to work hard to prevent us from permanently entering the abyss. I wish more people would get involved, but I agree with you that apathy is at an all time level of egregiousness.
I would love to see the seventh movie of Star Wars, but I know what it's like to have such a heavy burden. (NOT CREATING MOVIES, I'D LOVE THAT, BUT I STILL HAVE WAYS TO GO.) Where no one will leave you alone about so instead you come up with making a movie prior to Revenge of the Sith so people will get off the subject of Star Wars Episode 7 for a while to let yourself breath.
I love anything to do with Star Wars so it doesn't matter which one it is it's still STAR WARS so what if it's not the seventh one? There's still millions of things to talk about so why the seventh movie, people? (Sarcastic question everyone knows it's because we want to know what happens next)!
George Lucas: It doesn't bother me that the fans constantly ask for production of Star Wars Episode 7 to begin immediately. In fact, nothing at all concerns me. I have a perfect and idyllic life. I've learned over the preceding decades that certain individuals will not be happy regardless of what you do. What you can do is follow your own heart and dreams.
I'm very, very aware that SuperShadow has helped promote Star Wars Episode 7 to such a major degree that Episode 7 is the most anticipated film in the history of cinema. This is keenly exciting. The future has much to offer the fans of SS.com. However, there will be no Star Wars film episodes set prior to The Phantom Menace.
The only way this can happen is if we produce additional Star Wars TV series in the future set during the time before the Star Wars prequel trilogy. If this occurs, then we could have this TV show start in theaters similar to the new Clone Wars film. The problem is convincing a film distributor to take a chance with this given the lack of money earned by the Clone Wars film in theaters.

Hey George, just a simple question. We know that when Jedi perish (and others) they become 'one' with the Force and become more powerful because of it. Well, I was wondering (from your point of view) what happens to those who fall to the dark side and perish?
Case in point, Darth Maul or Count Dooku. Do they just perish, forever gone as dust? Or do they go to some sort of alter Jedi 'one' afterlife, like our depiction of ****? It's an odd question, but I would appreciate a response. Thanks.
George Lucas: In most cases, evil dark siders like the Sith Lords and Dark Jedi do not have an afterlife. They are basically obliterated from existence at the moment of death. However, there are certain cases where deceased Sith and Dark Jedi can appear to living people as Force spirits. This is something that will be explored during Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9. I don't plan on revealing the exact process, which makes it possible for an individual to become a Force ghost.
Hi my name is **** and I was wondering when are the Star Wars movies coming out on Blu-ray high definition?
George Lucas: The new Star Wars The Clone Wars film will be available on Blu-ray disc later this year. Indiana Jones 4 and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will also be released in a Blu-ray version. However, at this time, the Blu-ray market is too minuscule and insignificant to justify a release of the 6 Star Wars film episodes and the first 3 Indiana Jones films. In another ten years by 2018, I might consider having the old films on Blu-ray. It's not going to happen soon. No matter how much the fans complain, my mind won't be changed on this subject.
Hey George, is whether or not a Force move considered dark side determined by the instant in which that action is made or are there certain moves that Jedi just cannot perform?
I have cinematic evidence for both, but I'd rather hear it from the person that created the Star Wars movies. P.S. Sorry that the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie bombed. I suspect that you just marketed yourself to the wrong age group on that one.
George Lucas: So far, I haven't shown many Force powers in the Star Wars films. A Force technique is considered dark side if it is a form of torture. This is why you only see the Sith perform Force lightning in the films because it is such an awful punishment for the victim. Other Force powers like Jedi mind trick, Force pull, Force push, Force choke, Force super running speed and the like can be performed by the Jedi. Force lightning is the only one seen in the films, which is something reserved for the Sith exclusively.
George, I bought the Star Wars The Force Unleashed video game a few days ago and I think that it is the best video game in the world and that the pilot of the Rogue Shadow is really hot. Did you do that on purpose? By the way, the Star Wars The Clone Wars film was amazing! Thank you for taking your time to read this.
George Lucas: When I create Star Wars adventures, I believe it is always important to have attractive female characters. Over the years, I have had many super models in my life. This makes me appreciate beauty more than the average person. That's why you see so many women in the Star Wars films, who are gorgeous.
Thanks for the kind words regarding the Clone Wars film. On the Cartoon Network, the viewing numbers for the first episodes of the new Clone Wars TV series have been much greater than I thought possible. Perhaps it will last for 5 or more seasons as I had originally planned. We need to produce at least 100 episodes to make hefty profits from domestic and international television syndication.

Dear Mr. Lucas, I can't wait to see the live action Star Wars TV series in the future. Star Wars just gets better as it goes on. The more you come up with the more people want of Star Wars like Star Wars Episodes 7, 8 and 9. You're doing an incredible job. Way to stay on top. God bless.
George Lucas: We're entering an exciting era for Star Wars. The live action TV series is going to be mesmerizing. I'm finally going to be able tell the stories, which couldn't be included in the Star Wars film episodes. You should expect something of extreme magnitude of creativity with this upcoming TV show.
Fans shouldn't invest any time with Star Wars Episode 7. It's over a decade from happening so right now I need all the fans to concentrate on making the various Star Wars TV series as popular and successful as possible. Thanks for being the best kind of fan, who supports me in all my endeavors.
Dear George Lucas, I know you probably get hundreds of comments everyday, but I just have one question. Are you planning to make a prequel movie to The Phantom Menace? I am a big fan of Qui-Gon Jinn and I just wanted to know if I will see him a bit more through out the films.
I think you should advertise the Star Wars The Clone Wars TV show more. I've only seen one commercial and it was on TBS at 11 o'clock at night. I don't think many kids watch TBS at 11 o'clock at night so really only S.S. fans know about it.
George Lucas: I have no interest in creating Star Wars films set prior to The Phantom Menace. If we are to see the younger days of Qui-Gon, it will have to happen in a Star Wars TV series. The next full length Star Wars film, not based on the Star Wars TV shows, will be Star Wars Episode 7.
We don't have any money budgeted to promote the Clone Wars TV series. Basically, most of our advertising is being handled by the Cartoon Network on its station for free. I wish we could afford to promote the Clone Wars TV show heavily in the full range of mass media, but it can't happen.
Mr. Lucas, thank you for reading this brief message. I've been wondering something as I have eagerly anticipated the Clone Wars TV series debuting on Friday night. I've read from you before that during The Empire Strikes Back, you needed a massive cliff hanger to end the movie.
To accomplish this, you merged Anakin and Darth Vader and made him one and the same person. I understand the reasoning behind this merger as a way to get fans to watch Return of the Jedi to see how the situation was resolved.
However, I've never understood the primary reason behind making Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia twins in Return of the Jedi. The plot of Return of the Jedi doesn't really require you to need to make this realization happen.
Luke and Anakin defeat the Sith regardless of the knowledge of Luke and Leia being twins. So the question remains: Why did you decide to make Luke and Leia twins during Return of the Jedi?
My Friday night is booked this week. Thanks for that and for reading this brief message. Peace.
George Lucas: The reason for making Luke and Leia twins was to initiate a foundation for the Star Wars prequel trilogy. I wanted it to seem like destiny for the children of Anakin and Padme Skywalker to lead the Rebel revolt that destroys the Empire and the Sith Lords in the end.
This may appear to be nonsense, but you must accept my vision in all cases. Things don't have to be planned out well in advance for them to work. I enjoy making up the plots for Star Wars with no advanced thought. The randomness is what makes Star Wars so special.

Why are you waiting until 2021 when you can beat the Dark Knight's box office record if you start working on Star Wars Episode 7 now? It's pointless to wait 13 years when you can make these films every 3 or 4 years like all the other good movie trilogies out there.
I would expect Star Wars Episodes 10, 11 and 12 to come out in the time period as Star Wars Episodes 7, 8 and 9 do. I had a feeling that you were going to make more movies and I thought they would come out in 2010 or 2011. Can you explain to me why you want to wait 13 years?
George Lucas: It's my life. I'll do whatever I want. I don't answer directly to the fans. You can't expect me to spend every moment working on yet another Star Wars film trilogy. I have the right to explore my artistic vision in the way I want to do it. Star Wars Episode 7 is not in my mind at the moment.
I get comment after comment from the fans here daily asking for the immediate production of Star Wars Episode 7. This doesn't change my mind at all. Critics have doubted Star Wars from the beginning. It's been a difficult battle for over 30 years and it seems certain people want to tell me what to do with my personal and business time.
I don't have to give the fans a reason for why Star Wars Episode 7 won't happen soon. I take a 16 year break in between each Star Wars film trilogy. Your continual complaining will not speed up this process. My mind is made up on this topic. It's never going to shift.
Hello Mr. Lucas. Do you really think that using choppy primitive computer animations for the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie would interest fans? Do you really need these "enormous profits"? You have previously mentioned that you are an extremely rich man.
So why don't you give some of that back by making some new REAL movies? And if you are going to say that the current technology is not powerful enough, at least have the decency and dignity to not allow the production of pathetic films like the Clone Wars movie.
George Lucas: I didn't have a real choice about the Clone Wars film in theaters. I didn't intend for the new Clone Wars to premiere in theaters. This was necessary because no TV network was initially interested in broadcasting the Clone Wars on television. After I suggested to Warner Brothers that we could have the first episodes as a movie, then Warner Brothers was willing to convince the Cartoon Network to pick up the Clone Wars TV series.
I don't amass windfall profits so that I can buy fancy foreign cars or additional mansions or castles in Europe. Do you have any idea how much it costs to keep Lucasfilm in business each week? This income is needed to pay the overhead of salaries and other costs related to our businesses. I don't apologize for the Clone Wars film.
A TV show is going to have an extremely low production budget. This is true for the new Clone Wars. We can't afford to spend a vast amount of money on a weekly TV series. The volume of episodes is too large to invest heavy sums of cash. You need to relax and enjoy life instead of spending so much time being jaded and cynical.
Mr. Lucas. This is coming from one of your biggest fans. I would love to see more Star Wars movies in the future, but I know it's hard on your part due to time and money. I played every Star Wars video game known to the gaming world.
More and more everyday, I want to see some live action Jedi vs. Dark Jedi duels. Double duels with 2 or more Jedi vs. Dark Jedi. The whole dueling thing with light sabers makes a chill run through my spine. Can you tell me if there will be some sort of those battles in the live action Star Wars TV series in 2009? Thanks and greetings from New York.
George Lucas: There will be no Jedi or Dark Jedi in the upcoming live action Star Wars TV show. You will never see a light saber duel in this TV series. That's the way it's going to be. If this ruins the TV series and leads to our early cancellation, then so be it. I'm going to follow my heart regardless of the negativity it generates.

Is this really going to become a new Star Wars movie trilogy and if so when do they come into theaters? The plots for all three sequel films are the greatest of all films in the saga. There are many new great Jedi in this sequel trilogy. Are there going to be action figures for this film?
Are there going to be the same actors as the two original Star Wars trilogies? Are there any clone troopers in this film? What do Han Solo and Princess Leia say about their deceased son? I hope this comes to DVD soon. Thanks for the new addition. Can't wait until I watch them.
George Lucas: Star Wars Episode 7 will debut in theaters during May of 2021. There will be a lot of official merchandise related to Star Wars Episode 7 especially new action figures. The same cast seen in the old films will appear in Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9.
There will be no clone troopers or storm troopers. Han and Leia do not have any deceased children in my vision. This is something from the Star Wars novels and is not a real part of Star Wars. I want to congratulate you on being a very inquisitive fan, who makes my life outstanding. I owe everything to fans just like you.
Hello Mr. Lucas. This is just an idea! How about making new Star Wars films about another family living in the same time era and galaxy as the Skywalkers? Tell a new story! Have em deal with pirates, the Empire and everything in between! I remember a story told in a LucasArts video game called X Wing Alliance back in the 1990's about what I mentioned above!
You probably don't know the X Wing Alliance video game story, but I guess you could ask or look it up on the Internet! The story of the video game X Wing Alliance used big references to the first Star Wars film trilogy as you end up playing the youngest son of the family as a pilot on a mission to destroy the death star in Return of the Jedi.
A big reference like that in a new Star Wars film about a new family is not necessary. You could have minor references, but this family should know nothing about the Skywalker drama. Think it would be cool since the Star Wars galaxy is a fantastic fantasy world. Just an idea! Thanx for reading (maybe?) *** - Netherlands.
George Lucas: The Star Wars video games are never the foundation of my motion pictures. Those plots are kept separate and distinct from the Star Wars films. The first 9 Star Wars film episodes focus on the adventures of the Skywalker family. Star Wars Episode 10 is a strange, enigmatic and esoteric story that will revolutionize the film industry.
You have some expansive ideas that you could make into fan films or fan fiction. There's no audience for this fan material, but I'm sure your family and friends would enjoy your fan works. Good luck in life. You deserve to be successful.
You say there won't be any main Star Wars characters in the live action Star Wars TV show, but perhaps we see Aunt Beru or Uncle Owen Lars in passing?
George Lucas: No, you're not going to see relatives of Luke Skywalker in the live action TV series. It will be centered around brand new characters, who will stun the cosmos with their creativity. The development of this TV show is me still in my creative prime. It might even eclipse the Star Wars prequel trilogy if that's even possible. There is no chance of Beru or Owen in a Star Wars TV series.
George, you are the most fascinating and incredible film maker in all of cinema. Who do you support during elections?
George Lucas: When politics are involved, I remain steadfastly neutral. Roughly 40 % of the United States are Republicans while 40 % are Democrats and 20 % remain registered Independents. If I chose sides, it would alienate at least 60 % of the population. As a direct result, I can't be active in politics because it might harm the profits of my companies.
As the fans well know, I don't care much about money. The only reason we generate excessive profits is to take care of my many, many employees. I owe it to these dedicated people to give them a good and productive life for as long as they work for me.
However, I do openly favor any candidate, who is willing to eliminate taxes for individuals and corporations making over $ 50 million U.S. dollars per year. The current tax system is oppressive and extremely unfair. The local, state and federal governments take about 55 cents out of every dollar we make as top income earners.
The wealthiest citizens are the ones, who create all the jobs. If I could avoid taxes, I could afford to hire more employees and this would help the nation escape something like the current financial and credit crisis we're currently in. I want to do what is best for our country. Getting rid of unnecessary and burdensome taxes is the first step to take for a more free and just world. I'm certain the fans agree with me on this issue.

Thanks, George, for a fantastic journey, which I am privileged to have taken part of. I am also excited about a Star Wars sequel trilogy, although I am worried that your fantasy might be either damaged or destroyed if you decided to wait too long with the production of it.
None of us live forever and if you intend to use some of the Star Wars classic trilogy cast members in the upcoming Star Wars movie trilogy - just remember that Harrison Ford will be quite old in 2021. Worst case scenario is that someone other than you will write and direct these adventures. Do not allow this to happen. All the best from a huge fan.
George Lucas: I have absolutely no interest in working on Star Wars Episode 7 prior to 2015. This isn't even an option. Not even remotely. I know the fervor for Star Wars Episode 7 at SuperShadow.com is beyond our ability to measure. Star Wars Episode 7 is the most anticipated film in history. This works to my benefit. The longer I wait to work on the sequel trilogy, the more I can increase demand. There will be a new generation of fans to embrace what I have planned next for 2021.
Don't worry about major cast members not being around by the time production begins on Star Wars Episode 7. I can write Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian or Princess Leia out of the sequel films if something happens to the actor portraying said character.
Also, I have the perpetual rights to the images of all Star Wars characters. This means if Harrison doesn't survive, then I can replace him with a digitally animated Han Solo. I expect computer graphics to be photo realistic enough to perfectly represent Humans by the time we start the special effects for Star Wars Episode 7 in 2019.
Hey Mr. Lucas, I was wondering if you would ever re-make Star Wars Episode 4, 5 & 6 into a modern day adaptation because I'm sure there are things you would like to add in the new rendition as you did in the Star Wars The Clone Wars computer animated movie? Clearly, your vision of Star Wars will carry on for generations.
My son Mason enjoys watching Star Wars Episode 4, 5 & 6 as much as I did when I was a little boy. There is something about parents taking their kids to see Star Wars on the "Big Screen." Sincerely, P.S. Also looking forward to the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 3 video game even though my wife is not! Hahaha.
George Lucas: Over the past 30 years, I've dreamed of the day when a film maker can create his or her films on a computer without having to use film cameras and physical sets. This probably won't happen during my life time or at least not early enough for me to make new versions of the old films.
The special editions of 1997 were more in line with my ideas as the fans realize. However, the old films are still nowhere near what I want them to be, but there's nothing I can do about it. It would take over $ 300 million U.S. dollars and ten years of my life to update the old films. It's not going to happen. We have to accept life for what it is and move on.
George, I've been a fan all my life. A New Hope is the first movie I remember as a child so I'm very interested in the future of the Star Wars saga. It seems to me that you are giving two different versions of what drives you. Sometimes you say that the fans are the most important thing and that if you don't give them what they want Star Wars won't continue to be profitable.
And then in the next breath, if the fans ask to see Star Wars adventures featuring the Jedi Purge, young Skywalkers or events after Return of the Jedi, then you tell the fans that only your vision matters. So which is it? Please don't write that the fans want to see whatever your vision is, we want to see certain periods of the Star Wars Universe expanded and explained.
George Lucas: You need to read what I say more carefully. I've stated that I embrace fan concepts that agree with my personal artistic vision. Those ideas that are not in accordance with me are not going to appear in future Star Wars motion pictures. For example, the basic plot for the Star Wars prequel trilogy had been in my mind since the mid 1970's.
However, it wasn't specific. I made up the individual scenes and characters as I went along beginning in 1995 while writing the script for The Phantom Menace. I integrated thousands of fan ideas into the prequels, which explains why the new trilogy was so excessively profitable above my wildest expectations. I'm indebted to SuperShadow for the rest of my life. Shadow allowed me to harness the genius of the fans, which has taken Star Wars to heights never before thought possible.

Mr. Lucas. Perhaps one of the many reasons that the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie has failed at the box office is that no one really goes to the movies anymore and the story itself revolved around a baby Hutt being kidnapped and rescued all in the middle of this galactic war just to have access to Hyperspace lanes.
For one thing, the Old Republic could have just taken over those space lanes no matter what Jabba the Hutt said and who has time to rescue a "Poop Hutt" in the middle of a war? O.K. o.k., baby Hutt needs to be rescued and the Jedi are supposed to be selfless and help, so send some other Jedi to go get him, not Anakin. What about Republic Child Protective Services? Lame plot to say the least.
Now who wants to go all the way to the theater to see that? Not a lot of people and they are just waiting for it to come out on video anyway. That is where most of your sales are. Should have went straight to DVD. To think that I would spend about $ 30 - $ 50 U.S. dollars to see a 1 1/2 hour movie about a baby Hutt being rescued.
See that's 2 kid tickets, 1 adult, popcorn, sodas and gas to get there. Yep, about $ 30 - $ 50 bucks gone, instead of say $ 20 U.S. dollars for the purchase of one DVD movie. These are tough times with high gas prices and lack of any free time to go to the movies like we once could back in the late 1970's. I don't know what to say except I love Star Wars toys. I'm tired and going back to bed. Goodnight.
George Lucas: Usually the film business is recession proof. With the enormous box office grosses of The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it's not accurate to say people are no longer attending films at theaters. The experience is still robust although I do see it declining steeply as home theater systems and home film distribution becomes more sophisticated and affordable.
I guess the main problem with the Clone Wars film is that it wasn't written and directed by myself. The fans don't accept Star Wars adventures not completely from me. The Clone Wars film represents my vision, but the fans weren't interested in simple, cheap computer animation. We also didn't invest heavily in advertising because we expected excessive profits with no effort on our part.
What happens regarding Star Wars is always unexpected. The cinema money taken in by the Clone Wars film is the harsh judgment I expected the first Star Wars film to get from the audience in 1977. You can't predict the film industry, which is what makes producing films so risky. Thanks for being a supportive fan and sending in your insightful advice. You are the kind of person that makes my time spent on Star Wars more than worth it.
Hello Mr. Lucas, will there by any TV episodes based on or related to the story of the Star Wars The Force Unleashed video game for the upcoming live action Star Wars TV show? I recently finished the Force Unleashed video game and I must admit, the story in that video game was just amazing and I loved how it all connected to A New Hope.
A few TV episodes directly based on the game with "Starkiller" would be amazing, but besides that, it would be interesting to see a story about his father the "rogue Jedi" and how he became involved with the Wookiees or anything that relates to that saga. Anyways, thank you very much for continuing to release Star Wars related movies and TV shows.
George Lucas: I think the best way to maximize profits related to future Star Wars video games is to give the fans as little information as possible about what actually happens in the video games especially about the new characters. If I revealed these details on SuperShadow.com, it might deflate sales figures for the eventual the Force Unleashed 2 video game. Expect to discover these mysteries and more in the next installment of the Force Unleashed. This may seem unfair, but I have to do what is most lucrative for Lucasfilm.
Like always, thank you for creating Star Wars. I read your reply regarding the Blu-ray high definition DVD format and not maximizing profits at this time due to the market demand and waiting a decade! That is just wrong. The Blu-ray market is increasing rapidly. Every film is now released on Blu-ray.
If you release it for Blu-ray now, profits might not be at a maximum, but it will be there, and the major point here is, at least it will be on the shelves, so as people upgrade to Blu-ray, it will be there. Perhaps release it on a limited production and as sales pick up, increase production.
To further explain, I don't understand why you want to wait until a certain point because to me you'll still make the same amount of money off of it. If you release it now, it'll be a big profit, with it increasing with time. But if you wait, you'll still make the same amount of money because the same people will buy it. Instead of it being all at once, you'll get sales from people, who own Blu-ray now and the people who will eventually upgrade.
And another note, Star Wars is probably the most sought after Blu-ray product, therefore; you'll get a large profit if you release it (plus it's just mean making fans wait that long).
George Lucas: I'm allowing the Clone Wars film along with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to be released as Blu-ray discs. Yet few fans are interested in buying the Clone Wars film for personal viewing. This is my way to test how much demand there is for Star Wars and Indiana Jones on Blu-ray.
If nobody purchases the Clone Wars film on Blu-ray, then this will convince me that Blu-ray machines haven't fully matured to a point where releasing the 6 Star Wars film episodes and the old Indiana Jones films on Blu-ray will maximize revenues. Encourage your entire family and friends to get the Clone Wars film on Blu-ray so that I might unveil the old films on Blu-ray soon instead of much, much, much later.
Hello Mr. Lucas. I was wondering where would you put Starkiller from the Star Wars The Force Unleashed video game in the most powerful Sith / Jedi rankings and also why isn't Starkiller called Darth ******?
By the way, I know that you are constantly working on Star Wars video games. Can you give an estimate of their release dates? Thanks.
George Lucas: Darth Vader's secret apprentice can't be on the Most Powerful Jedi Knights or Sith Lords lists because the secret apprentice is a Dark Jedi. Only a Sith Master can award someone with a Sith title. This is seen during Revenge of the Sith when Darth Sidious names Anakin as Darth Vader. Since Vader is only a Sith apprentice, Vader can't give his secret apprentice a Sith title.
I don't micromanage what LucasArts does on a daily basis. The reason I have many employees is so that I don't have to spend my entire day worrying about my companies. In short, I don't keep track of the development of the various Star Wars video games. To find out what Star Wars video games are nearing release, you would need to visit the official web site of LucasArts.

I would think this to be one of the most horrible things to ever happen in the history of the galaxy, but if you were to die before Star Wars Episode 7 is filmed would SuperShadow continue the Star Wars sequel trilogy or would he totally remake the Star Wars original trilogy? Please take no offense to this comment. You are my idol and I would loathe to see you perish.
George Lucas: The possibility of me passing away early is laughable. I can state with certainty that I will enjoy another 25 to 30 years of life at the least. I have enough wealth to constantly seek the best medical attention. I'm afraid the fans are going to have to embrace my vision until I'm well in my nineties.
I'm never ever going to retire from Star Wars. You see life goes my way nearly all the time. This means I don't have to worry about things that afflict lesser affluent people. I will easily live long enough to see Star Wars Episode 9 in theaters. There is no doubt about this.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I am terribly sorry about the failure of the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie in multiplexes. I think the reason of this is that many people thought it was not official. Many of my friends (who are not big fans of Star Wars) thought it was from Disney and that it looked childish. So here is some advice for the new Clone Wars TV show and the later episodes.
The reason for The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy being so successful is that it is both violent and dramatic. The violence makes it exciting and the drama will hit the viewers' feelings. It looks adult and personal to the viewer. You can use this advise next time you publish something of Star Wars and maybe more people will show a positive attitude towards Star Wars.
George Lucas: I don't alter my artistic vision to adhere to the passing styles of film making. The critics have undermined Star Wars from the beginning. I understand that certain people resent Star Wars because it produces massive, near infinite revenues most of the time. For instance, the Star Wars The Force Unleashed video game sold around 1.5 million units during its first week in stores. This equals about $ 75 million U.S. dollars at retail.
This sounds fantastic until you examine the numbers more carefully. If only 1.5 million individuals showed up for the opening weekend of a Star Wars film, this would be a complete failure with a box office gross of around $ 10 million U.S. dollars. That's basically what the Clone Wars film did in its first weekend. However, since video games are so expensive per copy, we can generate excessive profits from the Star Wars video games even if we only move a few million copies worldwide.
In the end, I don't have to make my vision acceptable to the public at large. We made so much money from the Star Wars prequel trilogy that I can afford to follow my instincts although this may lead to the Star Wars TV series not lasting very long on television.
It doesn't matter to me what happens. Star Wars is what it is. If you don't prefer my current vision, then don't watch the Star Wars TV series, but remember you don't have the right to tell me what to do. I have artistic freedom that I will always utilize as free will until my final days.
Hey Mr. Lucas. Is Mace Windu in his prime in Star Wars Episode 3 or past that like Yoda and Obi-Wan? When is Windu at his peak? I would like to know that. Best regards.
George Lucas: This is an interesting question. Mace Windu is at his zenith of strength during Revenge of the Sith, which is why Windu is able to have Darth Sidious at his mercy. Only the fateful decision of betrayal by Anakin prevented Windu from defeating the final Sith Lord. By the time of the old films, both Yoda and Obi-Wan are past their top years of power because this is necessary so that Luke Skywalker can be the primary hero.
If Yoda and Obi-Wan can face the Sith, then there is no need for Luke. Yoda and Obi-Wan believe Luke or Princess Leia may be the key to fulfilling the Jedi prophecy of the chosen one, who will bring balance to the Force. They have no way of knowing this prophecy will be completed in an unsuspected way by Anakin. Star Wars is about shocking the fans in ways that are beyond your imagination and leave you forever speechless and stunned.

Dear George. How did you keep your belief and conviction in yourself while you were pushing forward with the production of A New Hope? Every kind of sign around you must have seemed like anything and everything was against you, from production companies trashing your idea on the film to sand storms in Tunisia wrecking half your set during production.
Maybe you had a sense that if all the signs were bad, then just maybe it just might be something worth striving to continue with? I mean maybe sometimes the only way to know if something is going to work is to just see it through till the end and if it fails, then at least you gave it everything?
I'm learning fine art and illustration and I love story telling and I want to present graphic novels in a new way and break new ground. I thank you for the inspiration you bring to the world.
George Lucas: You need to remember that A New Hope was not my first film. I had already written and directed both THX-1138 and American Graffiti. Granted THX-1138 nearly ended my career because it was a total disaster in theaters, but American Graffiti was the most profitable film in the history of Hollywood.
The success with American Graffiti gave me the confidence that my personal artistic vision could work if I stayed true to what I wanted to do. However, more importantly, I learned an important lesson from my first two films. I realized control is ultimately more important than money.
Even though American Graffiti was a big hit, the concept of Star Wars seemed so strange at the time that every single film studio turned it down except for 20th Century Fox. They were surprised I wasn't asking for a significant upfront salary. Instead I negotiated for control over Star Wars. I got the merchandising and sequel rights to Star Wars because Fox thought they were worthless.
At that time, science fiction films rarely made any money at the box office. Since Star Wars was such a high risk for Fox, they only gave me a little over $ 10 million U.S. dollars to make Star Wars. They didn't have faith in the idea or else I could have gotten a larger production budget.
The entire production of A New Hope was the worst experience of my life. It was so bad that I wouldn't direct another film until The Phantom Menace. I have to admit that I had no idea Star Wars would work with audiences. I was resigned to the notion that Star Wars might be my last film in the entertainment business. It has turned out to be a 30 year detour that has decided my life.
I can't complain because thanks to Star Wars, I have the financial independence to make my films exactly the way I want them with no studio interference. This should serve to encourage those of you who doubt your own ideas. Follow your heart and you will be artistically rewarded even if you never make any money. Learn from my example and never give up no matter the odds against you.
HEY Mr. Lucas, I have been wondering since you are a wonderful person, who brought me one of the greatest joys in life everyone knows as Star Wars, I myself at my school organized STAR WARS day. It was a huge success. I have questions.
1. The Star Wars The Force Unleashed video game is a financial success and your live action Star Wars TV series will be set during the same time line as the Force Unleashed video game, would you put Darth Vader's secret apprentice in the live action TV series because the actors for the video game are identical to the characters in real life?
Many people want him to be in it. He is quite a round character to put in your immense story. George Lucas, you are one of my greatest inspirations and would love to be given a small role or big role in your upcoming Star Wars movies. You are the man. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
George Lucas: I appreciate your love for my creation. The fans are what I do all this for. The Star Wars video games are kept separate from the Star Wars films and TV series. I enjoy creating new characters. There's no point in making a live action Star Wars TV series if it is comprised of familiar characters you've seen before. I need a chance to further express my vision through mostly new characters. You won't be seeing Vader's secret apprentice in the future TV shows or films.
Here is an idea for ya. Why not have a Star Wars video game to works like Blizard's World of Warcraft? We could run around doing missions, etc. Duel other Force users, etc. Fight off local creatures, etc. I think that would sell **** of a lot better than Star Wars Galaxies. The Force Unleashed video game rocks!
I can't wait till the Star Wars Battlefront III and Star Wars Republic Commando II video games come out! I'm sure some of your employees at ILM play World of Warcraft and could come up with something close that would sell.
I read that the live action Star Wars TV series will be darker. This is good. Kids today are darker and expect a more real life type of TV show. Life is dark and kids today are too. Later - *****@***.com
George Lucas: I'm not an expert on the marketing of video games. I have people at LucasArts, who conduct expensive research to determine what types of video games are the ones the fans want to purchase. I'm sure they are familiar with the best selling video game franchises. I would encourage them to be more original although borrowing from proven winners can't be negative.
The live action TV series is going to surprise the fans. This may be my most innovative work yet and that's saying a lot after the huge, unparalleled success of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. If I can get any where near the prequels, then the fans will be completely ecstatic with my new ideas for Star Wars.
I would like to take a moment to compliment Coach Pete Carroll of my Southern California football team on the admirable effort he gives each week. I'm so encouraged by Coach Carroll that I'm thinking about buying a professional National Football League team franchise and moving it to Siberia, Russia so that I can promote Coach Carroll to the NFL.
Coach Carroll would be the head coach of this team called the Siberian Spetsnaz whereby I would be able to get Coach Carroll as far away from California, United States as possible. I would give Coach Carroll a life time contract so that he could spend his entire coaching career working for me in Siberia. This is my way of saying thank you Coach Carroll for the results of games like the last one against Oregon State.
